CreativeOBD HVR adapter cable for use with Dimsport The Genius on supported Bosch MDG1 ECU unlocking procedures. Manufactured by CreativeOBD as an equivalent to the Dimsport F36TG108 adapter.
Technical information
- Designed for The Genius HVR (High Voltage Regulation) connection procedure.
- For selected Bosch MD1/MG1 ECUs using protected Infineon AURIX TC298TP and TC299TP microcontrollers, where supported by the current Dimsport application list.
- D-sub connection with individually labelled RST, HVR and GND leads.
- Assembled in the UK and continuity-tested before dispatch.
Use and compatibility
The HVR procedure requires the ECU to be opened and connections made directly to the ECU board. Dimsport specifies removal of a resistor as part of the procedure; follow the current instructions for the exact ECU and hardware version. Once successfully unlocked, supported ECUs can subsequently be read and programmed in Bench mode using the appropriate connection cable.
This adapter provides the HVR connection and does not replace the normal ECU bench harness. The Genius tool, applicable software activation, suitable power supply and any additional ECU connection cables are required separately. Confirm HVR support for the exact ECU before use.
