Ivan Taylor - Director and founder of CreativeOBD LTD
Ivan is the founder and driving force behind CreativeOBD Ltd. His journey into the automotive industry began in 2014, inspired by a deep passion for electronics and vehicles that led to the first iteration of the business. Although family commitments, particularly the arrival of his children, required him to pause operations, his entrepreneurial ambition never waned.
In January 2021, during a global pandemic and a house move, Ivan recognised the perfect moment to revive his vision. With lockdowns providing time and space to refocus, he laid the groundwork for the modern evolution of CreativeOBD Ltd. What started as a small side project in a bedroom, alongside his full-time role as a design engineer in the pharmaceutical sector, soon grew into a flourishing enterprise.
Leveraging his IT background and engineering expertise, especially in circuit board design, soldering, and crimping, Ivan produced his first custom cables and launched the company’s website. As demand increased, he expanded onto platforms such as eBay, Shopify, Social Media sites Facebook, and Instagram, steadily building a strong reputation within the specialist field of automotive cable manufacturing.
Ivan’s hands-on approach, technical proficiency, and commitment to innovation have shaped CreativeOBD Ltd into the respected company it is today. His dedication to quality, customisation, and exceptional customer service continues to guide the business as it grows.
Ivan’s flair for creativity, product design, and engineering is central to the identity of CreativeOBD Ltd. In addition to his expertise in electronics and cable manufacturing, he brings a strong skill set in developing customised 3D-printed accessories, combining practical engineering with innovative design solutions tailored to customer needs. His ability to conceptualise, design, and produce bespoke components further enhances the company’s capability to deliver unique, purpose-built products.

Helen Wild - Director and Full Time Head of Administration
Since joining CreativeOBD in 2021, Helen has been the driving force behind the seamless coordination of our administrative operations. As Head of Administration, she plays a vital role in managing our HR functions, supporting customer service, overseeing invoicing, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of both our admin and shipping departments.
With a strong passion for her work and a dedication to excellence, she is committed to continual improvement in every area she touches. Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering focus on efficiency help keep the business operating at its best—both behind the scenes and in direct support of our customers.
Above all, she is devoted to delivering the best experience to everyone who interacts with CreativeOBD. Whether streamlining internal processes or going the extra mile to support a team member or customer, her goal is always the same: dependable service, delivered with care.
Aftab Hussain - Director of CreativeOBD Ltd and Owner of Chiptuning Shop Ltd.
Aftab brings a wealth of industry experience and a strong business mindset to CreativeOBD, combining deep knowledge of the automotive tuning world with a clear vision for growth and innovation. Since joining the team, he has been instrumental in shaping our strategic direction, bringing fresh perspectives to our processes and a renewed focus on the needs of our customers.
Known for his hands-on leadership style, Aftab actively works alongside the team to streamline operations, introduce practical solutions, and enhance overall efficiency. His expertise not only helps drive innovation in our product range but also reinforces our commitment to the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Phillip Connolly – Senior Logistics Coordinator
Phil joined CreativeOBD in November 2024 as our Senior Logistics Coordinator, bringing with him over 25 years of experience running his own Hino service and parts dealership. With a deep understanding of the automotive industry, Phil has quickly become an essential part of our operations.
His efficient, get-things-done attitude and positive outlook align perfectly with our company’s goals, and his support has been invaluable to the day-to-day running of the business. Phil brings a sense of fun and energy to the shipping department, along with a level of experience and leadership that strengthens the entire team.
Will Thorley-Fox - Full Time Shipper
Will is a reliable and motivated team member with four years of experience in administration and finance/accountancy. He brings strong proficiency in software systems along with well-developed skills in decision-making, data analysis, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Will works confidently on his own initiative while also thriving in collaborative environments where shared goals are the priority. He is eager to take on new challenges and continuously improve, making him a valuable addition to the shipping team.
WORKSHOP STAFF
Tom Thorley-Fox – Full Time Cable Technician and quality controller
Tom is an experienced Cable and Panel Technician with a strong background in control panel building, cable assembly, soldering, crimping, and stock management. Since joining DSH Cables & Controls in 2023, he has built a reputation for precision, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Before moving into the engineering sector, Tom developed extensive leadership and customer-facing experience through roles in retail management and sales. As a former Store Manager, he was responsible for daily operations, logistics, staff training, and maintaining high standards of customer service—skills that now support his organised and team-focused approach to technical work.
Known for his communication skills, punctuality, and ability to perform under pressure, Tom brings a well-rounded blend of hands-on technical ability and strong interpersonal skills to every project.
Nikolas Buchel - Full time Cable Technician
Nikolas joined CreativeOBD as a full-time Cable Technician in October 2022. Since then, he has become a valued and dedicated member of our team. With a keen enthusiasm for his work, Nikolas brings fresh ideas to the table and consistently looks for ways to improve our processes and workflows.
He is steadily building his skills and gaining confidence in his role, demonstrating a growing mastery of cabling techniques. His commitment to quality and continuous improvement makes him an integral part of our operation and a promising contributor to CreativeOBD’s future.
Maxine Whittingham - Full time Cable Technician
Starting in May 2025 Maxine is one of our newer members of staff. She brings a wealth of hands-on experience in cabling and engineering to our business, and takes pride in her work with specialist skills in crimping, soldering, and precision cable assembly. Known for her methodical approach, efficiency, and strong “get-this-done” attitude, she consistently delivers high-quality work whether independently or as part of our technician team. Maxine is also proactive in suggesting improvements that help the workshop run more smoothly and efficiently. Her work ethic, expertise, and initiative make her a highly valued member of our team.
Liam Rolf - Part Time Cable Technician
Starting in April 2024. Liam comes from a background in telecommunications and electrical installation. Liam joined our team with a view to working within a company that is driven by quality. Liam strives for perfection in his work, he is a keen problem solver and is already demonstrating enthusiasm and bringing his skill set to the workshop team. He is passionate about training further in electrical design and we are already seeing vast improvement in our business due to his expertise.
Ollie Davis - Full Time Cable Technician
Ollie joined CreativeOBD in May 2025 as our youngest team member, starting out as a junior assistant with no prior experience. From day one, he has impressed us with his natural talent for cabling, his quick adaptability, and his willingness to take on any challenge. Bright, hardworking, and meticulously detail-focused, Ollie consistently demonstrates strong forward-planning skills and a mature approach well beyond his years. In a short time, he has shown remarkable growth and outstanding potential, making him an exciting part of CreativeOBD’s future.
